Columbia, Mo. - As summer has heated up, so have the Tigers' bats in their respective summer leagues. Pitching has also been stout for Mizzou players as they compete through the dog days of summer.

Patrick Quintanilla (San Luis Obispo Blues, California Collegiate League)
Quintanilla has slumped since last week, with his average dropping 32 points to .233. In his 15 games, the catcher has gone 10-for-43 from the plate with three RBI, and his OPS stands at .585.

Ryan Yuengel (Wilson Tobs, Coastal Plain League)
It has been over a week since Yuengel's last appearance, but the reliever's ERA still stands at an impressive 1.38. With a WHIP of under 1.00, Yuengel should be vying for more appearances with the Tobs.

Case Munson (Will County Crackerjacks, Midwest Collegiate League)
Munson has raised his average 40 points in the last week to .147, and he now has seven RBI. Munson has two home runs and a triple in 12 games, and he has scored nine runs.

John Miles (Sedalia Bombers, MINK Collegiate League)
Through Miles's three starts, the rising sophomore has thrown 15 innings and has surrendered five runs. His WHIP stands at 1.44, and he is credited with a 1-0 record on the year. He has given up just three extra base hits in his time on the bump.

Brandon Platts (Sedalia Bombers, MINK Collegiate League)
Platts was highly touted out of high school but struggled in his first collegiate season. He appears to be regaining form with a 3.60 ERA in three starts. Platts has matched Miles's inning count of 15, and he has struck out 11 batters compared to issuing just four walks.

Jake Ivory (Danbury Westerners, New England Collegiate Baseball League)
Ivory's average has jumped 10 points in the last week to .275. Ivory has two RBI with a home run and a double in 13 games, and he has scored six runs. Ivory is 11-of-40 at the plate this season.

Brett Graves (Newport Gulls, New England Collegiate Baseball League)
Graves has appeared in four games, starting two for the Gulls. He is credited with one save on the season, and has allowed 11 baserunners in 12 innings pitched. Extra base hits have plagued Graves so far, though, as his ERA stands at a lackluster 6.75.

Gavin Stark (Sanford Mainers, New England Collegiate Baseball League)
Stark's batting average has increased 19 points since last week, and he now has two RBI on the year. Start is 6-for-24 at the plate so far with one extra base hit, a double. He has walked five times and struck out four, and is 0-for-1 on steal attempts.

Michael McGraw (Madison Mallards, Northwoods League)
McGraw finished his summer with the Mallards batting .143 through 10 games, and is done playing for the summer. As a rising junior, McGraw looks to have a major impact in the upcoming Mizzou season.

Nick Moore (Quincy Gems, Prospect League)
Moore has improved his batting average to .224, and he now has four RBI on the year. The infielder has scored 12 runs, and he has an on base percentage of .371.

Jake Walsh (Quincy Gems, Prospect League)
Walsh has lowered his ERA to 3.65 out of the bullpen for the Gems in 12.1 innings on the mound. He has been credited with a 1-0 record and one save on the year, and he has allowed just one extra base hit. Walsh has fanned 13 batters and walked seven on the year.

Tyler House (Quincy Gems, Prospect League)
House has struggled for Quincy, posting a 9.28 ERA in 21.1 innings. He has allowed 38 hits, but he has been on the hook for nine unearned runs on the year, the most of every pitcher on the Gems.

Dillon Everett (San Diego Force, Western Baseball Association)
Everett has kept his hot streak going at the plate, with his average still standing at an impressive .317. He has an on base percentage of .437, and he is 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts. He has scored seven runs for San Diego and has tallied 14 RBI.

Sal Belfonte (San Diego Force, Western Baseball Association)
Belfonte has cooled off at the plate, with his average dropping 47 points to .303. The outfielder has an OPS of .985, and he has four extra base hits on the season with two doubles and two triples. He has scored 12 runs for the Force.

Other players playing Summer ball include: Justin Byrd (Colorado Lynx, Colorado Collegiate Baseball League); Kyle Barbeck (Madison Mallards, Northwoods League); Scott Sommerfeld (Dodgers, St. Louis Metro Collegiate Baseball League).
