Peter Fairbanks is one of three Tigers in the Cape

COLUMBIA, Mo. - As the dog days of summer approach, the Mizzou baseball team has players scattered around the country playing summer ball. With several guys in the Cape Cod League and other top leagues around the country, it has been a busy summer to try and keep up with all of the Tiger diamond standouts. Below is a look at what your Tigers have been up to.

Brandon Baker - St. Joseph Mustangs - MINK League
Brandon Baker improved to 3-1 on the season for the Mustangs. In a June 22 start, he pitched seven scoreless innings, giving up six hits and seven strikeouts. Baker also earned a win, pitching seven innings in a 5-2 victory for the Mustangs on June 7. He gave up one run on five hits and one walk, striking out five batters in the start.

Cole Bartlett - Sedalia Bombers - MINK League
Cole Bartlett has started four games for the Sedalia Bombers this summer. He started the season with two scoreless starts, pitching six innings in each starts. He picked up the victory in a June 8 start, striking out four batters on seven hits. His summer stat line is currently 1-2 with a 2.07 ERA over 26 innings pitched. He has struck out 17 hitters over that span while only allowing six walks.

Logan Bone - Quincy Gems - Prospect League
Logan Bone has caught seven games for the Quincy Gems. In 26 at-bats, Bone is hitting .154 with four hits, three RBIs, and three runs.

Peter Fairbanks - Hyannis Harbor Hawks - Cape Cod League
Peter Fairbanks has made two appearances in the premiere summer baseball league, the Cape Cod League. In those two appearances, he has made one start. Fairbanks has yet to earn a decision, going 9.1 innings, allowing 10 hits and two walks with three strikeouts. His ERA is 2.89 on the summer so far.

Ryan Howard - Bourne Braves - Cape Cod League
Ryan Howard has appeared in six games for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod League. In 18 at-bats, he has two hits, two walks, two runs, and one RBI.

Jack Klages - Wisconsin Woodchucks - Northwoods League
Jack Klages has played in 15 games this summer for the Wisconsin Woodchucks. In 36 at-bats, he has three hits, three runs, one home run, six RBIs, and eight walks.

Zack Lavy - Danburry Westerners - NECBL
In 47 at bats the junior from Auxvasse, Missouri is batting .340 at the place with seven RBI and a home run. Lavy's .340 average is second best on the team.

Jake Ring - Danburry Westerners - NECBL
Ring is right behind Lavy on the hitters board, posting a .314 batting average so far this summer. Ring has three stolen bases in 13 games, along with four RBI and four walks.

Andrew Schwaab, Danbury Westerners - NECBL
Schwaab has yet to give up an earned run with the Westerners. In six innings pitched, the righty has only given up two hits and has recorded seven strikeouts and one save.

Josh Lester Y-D Red Sox- Cape Cod
Lester is hitless in 10 appearances with five walks in 14 at bats. Lester has seen most of his time coming off the bench as a pinch hitter.

Brett Peel, Quincy Gems - Prospect League
Peel has been the everyday guy for the Gems at second base this summer, compiling a .286 average from the plate so far. Peel has nine doubles and nine RBI as well as 19 walks.

Austin Tribby, Wisconsin Woodchucks - Northwoods
The lefty from Springfield, Mo., has gotten off to a great start for the Woodchucks. Tribby has posted a 1.89 ERA and a 3-0 record in 11 appearances with 18 strikeouts in 19 innings pitched. Once again, Tribby leads his team in appearances.

Breckin Williams, LaCrosse Loggers - Northwoods
Williams is off to a hot start for the Lacrosse Loggers to say the least. With his 10 appearances, Williams has compiled a 1.92 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched. Not to mention 7-for-7 in save opportunities.
