After four Mizzou baseball players were taken on day one of the 2006 Major League Baseball First-Year Players' Draft, two more were selected on the second day. Senior Taylor Parker was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 21st round and fellow senior Travis Wendte was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 24th round.

Parker is one appearance away from tying the school record for appearances on the mound at Missouri. He picked up a pair of wins in last weekend's NCAA Regional in Malibu, Calif., including starting and going 5.2 innings in Monday's Regional Championship game.

Wendte is third in appearances all-time at Missouri and is second behind Parker in appearances this season. Last Saturday, he pitched 5.0 innings in relief in the Tigers' 14-inning win over UC-Irvine at the NCAA Malibu Regional.

The Tigers won the NCAA Malibu Regional last weekend and have advanced to the Super Regionals against Cal Stat-Fullerton. The Super Regional will get underway at 9 p.m. CT on Friday.
