Junior Nick Tepesch was named the Big 12 Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. Tepesch recorded his first career shutout as Missouri defeated Nebraska, 2-0, on Friday in the opener of the three-game series.

Tepesch was perfect through the first 4.1 innings, retiring the first 13 Nebraska batters before giving up a single in the top of the fifth inning. He struck out a season-high nine and surrendered just five hits to move to 5-5 on the season. The Blue Springs, Mo. hurler retired the side in order in five innings.

He shared the Co-Pitcher of the Week honor with Texas A&M's Barret Loux, who pitched a shutout against Oklahoma State on Friday.

Tepesch has an ERA of 4.42 on the season with 64 strikeouts. His ERA in his eight conference starts is 3.75.

Missouri will close the regular season this weekend with a three-game series against Texas. Tepesch will likely to get the start in the series opener on Friday at 6 p.m. at Taylor Stadium.
