Mizzou sophomore Jacob Priday has been named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Priday hit .533 with two home runs, 11 RBI and a 1.067 slugging percentage in the Tigers' four games last week. This is the first time he has earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors.

Priday was 3-for-3, falling just a triple short of hitting for the cycle, against Saint Louis last Tuesday, as he hit his first home run of the season, added a double, a single, two RBI and three runs scored.

In the three-game weekend series against Purdue, Priday hit .417 with a home run and nine RBI. He drove in six runs, going 3-for-4 in the second game of the weekend. In the final game of the series, he added three more RBI, going 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the fourth inning.

For the season, Priday is hitting .390 with two home runs, six doubles and 20 RBI.

Missouri (10-7) will open up Big 12 Conference play this weekend with a trip to College Station, Texas for a three-game series getting underway at 7 p.m. on Friday.
