Named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Year ... selected to Baseball America's and Collegiate Baseball's All-America second team ... led the Big 12 Conference in ERA (1.86) and strikeouts (131) ... broke the school record with the 131 strikeouts, passing John Dettmer's mark of 127 (1991) ... tied for the team lead with nine wins ... was twice the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week ... went seven innings of a combined no-hitter in the series opener against Texas Tech, striking out a career-high 14 batters ... named the NCBWA Pitcher of the Week and Collegiate Baseball Player of the Week after the no-hitter ... won six-straight starts from Feb. 25- April 1 ... pitched at least seven innings in seven outings ... recorded double digit strikeout games four times ... was a semifinalist for the Roger Clemens Award and was on the watch list for the Howser, Wallace and Golden Spikes Awards ... recorded the first complete game of his career against Nebraska on May 6 ... was selected to the USA Baseball National Team last summer ... made four appearances, including two starts, and went 2-1 for Team USA ... had an ERA of 2.70 and struck out 24 batters in 20 innings for the National Team.
