After a four-year career as a do-it-all pitcher for the Tigers. Jeff Emens will return to Mizzou as a graduate manager this season. In his career, Emens pitched in 103 career games, posting a career ERA of 3.78 with eight wins and eight saves. He was one of the Tigers' most important arms on the 2012 Big 12 Championship team, pitching 86.1 innings in 32 total appearances while posting a team-best 2.71 ERA. He earned a 4-1 overall record and posted three saves on the season while appearing in a career-high 32 games for Mizzou. His 86.0 innings pitcher were almost double his previous season-best innings total heading into the season as he shouldered a heavy workload as one of the Tigers' most reliable pitchers.
Emens is a native of Plano, Texas, and will primarily serve as the Tigers' bullpen coach in 2013.
