Luke Cassis, a letterwinner for the Tigers from 1999-2002, enters his sixth season as part of the Mizzou Baseball staff. Cassis serves as the Director of Operations, assisting with the day-to-day operations for the Tiger baseball program.
He also has a role in Mizzou's recruiting efforts, while assisting with the Mizzou Baseball camps and organizing special events.
As a player, he was a regular in the lineup, as his ability to play any position on the infield led to him playing in 183 games for Mizzou, starting 157 during his career.
Following his playing days, he joined the Missouri staff as a student assistant before taking over the role of Director of Operations in 2005.
Cassis also spent two seasons as an analyst for the Tigers' radio broadcast, joining Tex Little in the broadcast booth.
A native of Wheaton, Ill., Cassis was a three-year starter for Wheaten North High School, earning all-conference and all-area honors twice and was a four-time academic all-conference selection.
