The McArtor Baseball Facility
Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field
Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field, was constructed to accomplish a variety of goals set by the baseball coaching staff and MU's Department of Athletics. The ultimate goal in the construction of the stadium was to create a fan-friendly facility and to encourage a family ballpark atmosphere.
The McArtor Baseball Facility
The University of Missouri recentley renovated Taylor Stadium. The highlight of the
renovations was the new state-of-the art McArtor Baseball Facility, which features indoor batting cages and pitching mounds. In addition, a new scoreboard and video board was installed, along with a brick wall that spans foul territory and an improved outfield wall. Both bullpens were also renovated and new bleachers were added down the first base line.
Future plans call for a new clubhouse and coaches offices, as well as expanded seating. The renovations are the most resent upgrades to the
Sports Park at Mizzou.
Mizzou Athletics Training Complex
In 2008, MU opened the
Mizzou Athletic Training Complex, which housed areas for Strength & Conditioning, Sports Medicine and Academics. It is also home to the athletic dining hall and locker rooms for baseball, softball and soccer.
