COLUMBIA, Mo. - T.J. Carey has become the third Tiger this year to be honored as the SEC Freshman of the Week, as released by the conference office on Tuesday morning.  Freshmen Dan Roe and Kaitlyn Fischer earned the recognition earlier this season after their performances at the Arkansas Dual.

The freshman made his Mizzou debut at the Roy Griak Invitational where he posted the second-fastest time for the men's squad as the fourth freshman across the line overall.  He was the third freshman finisher at the Notre Dame Invitational, taking over to lead the charge for the Tigers.  This past weekend, he once again scored for the team, finishing in 24:40 at the Adidas Invitational in Madison, WI to be fourth across the line for the black and gold.

Carey and the rest of the Tigers are now looking forward to the SEC Championships on Nov. 1st in Gainesville, FL.  For the latest on your Tigers, stay tuned to and follow the team on Twitter @MIZ_TrackField.
