Columbia, Mo. - For the second time this season, Missouri freshman Tyler Schneider has been recognized as Cross Country Freshman of the Week by the SEC.  The honor came for the first time on Oct. 2 after Schneider ran to a 66-second PR at the Greater Louisville Classic to run a 24:23.54, placing 27th overall to be the third freshman across the line.  That PR also gave him the fastest 8K time as a freshman in the SEC, a position which he still holds even after a busy meet weekend.  On Friday (Oct. 12), Schneider continued to score for the Tigers at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational, where he was fifth across the line for the black and gold in 24:45, which also gives him the second-fastest freshman 8K time in the conference.  Schneider has scored every meet thus far for the Mizzou squad, and will hope to continue this trend on Oct. 26 at the SEC Championships in Nashville, TN.
