COLUMBIA, Mo. -
Missouri sophomore Kinsey Farren (Dallas, Texas) was honored by the Big 12 Tuesday as its Female Runner of the Week for her performance at Saturday's Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational. It is Farren's first career honor in the category. Farren was Missouri's top finisher for the third-straight week, running an 18:12 in the 5K race, and placing seventh individually, on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago.
The Tiger women finished second only to Northwestern in the meet.
Mizzou is next slated to participate in the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind., on October 18.
Farren, along with footballer Jeremy Maclin, will be featured on the Big 12 website tomorrow as part of its "In Focus" series. Check out the full rundown HERE.
