Tigers Keep Fourth Position in Regional Rankings

Sept. 16, 2013

Columbia, Mo. - After two meets of the 2013 season, the Mizzou men's cross country team maintains its position at No. 4 in the Midwest Regional Rankings, as released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Monday.

The Tiger men opened the season at home against Missouri Valley before traveling down to Fayetteville to match-up against the Univ. of Arkansas.  The men were led by the close trio of sophomores Evan Chiplock and Tyler Schneider, and senior Hayden Legg.  Freshman Dan Roe was fourth for the black and gold, and earned a nod as the SEC Freshman of the Week for his performance.  Mizzou swept the honor, with Kaitlyn Fischer earning the SEC Freshman of the Week for the women after she led the Tigers against the Razorbacks.

The Tigers will be back in action on September 28th at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, MN.  For the latest on your Tigers, stay tuned to MUTigers.com and follow the team on Twitter @MIZ_TrackField.
