Cross Country:Led the Tigers with a 7th place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational, finishing the 5K in 17:14...Came in 18th at the Big 12 Championship, finishing the 6K course in 20:25.9, a performance which earned her a spot on the First Team Academic All-Big 12
Indoor Track:Did not compete
Outdoor Track:Ran a PR of 16:16.52 at the Mt. SAC Relays to finish 11th...Earned an All-Big 12 honor after finishing 5th in the 5K, crossing the line in 16:36.75
Cross Country: Kaitie protected home turf with a win at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, finishing in 17:37.20.
Indoor Track:Did not compete
Outdoor Track:Qualified for the NCAA Preliminary Round in the 5K after posting a time of 16:35.44 at the Big 12 Championship...Improved upon that PR at the NCAA West Preliminary Round, where she finished 21st in 16:34.63.
Cross Country:Kaitie put together arguable the finest season ever by a Missouri freshman, as she was the Tigers' lone NCAA National Championship qualifier...She finished 54th overall at the event, and was the 5th-best freshman in the nation, as she finished the 6K course in 20:57.4, the fastest time run by a Tiger at the NCAA Championships since 2003...Her 54th place finish was also the highest placing by a Tiger since 2004...She earned NCAA All-Midwest Region honors with an 8th place finish in 21:01.8...Added an All-Big 12 accolade to her resume as well, clocking in at 21:48.31 on her home course to place 11th...Turned in an 8th place finish at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival and was the Tigers' top finisher at the race, clocking in at 21:18.78...She also added a Missouri Cross Country title to her ledger after running the 5K course in 17:54.3...She was the Tigers' top finisher in every race in which she competed.
Indoor Track:In her first 5K appearance all season, Kaitie hit the NCAA provisional qualifying time, running a 16:40.7...Went on to run the 5K at the Big 12 Championship, posting a time of 16:47.14 in a very competitive field...Ran the 3K in two other meets, clocking her season-best time of 9:48.71 at the Meyo Invitational...Her other 3K time of 9:55.4 came at the MU-KU Border Dual.
Outdoor Track:Ran the 5K at the Oregon Pepsi Invitational, and finished in 16:41.72 to qualify for the NCAA First Round...She also ran the 3K at the Tom Botts Invitational, and crossed the line in 9:56.06...Ran a PR of 4:50.68 in the 1500m at the Missouri Relays.
High School: Ran at Dakota Ridge HS for coach Mike Callor...Her team was the 2007 CHSAA 5A Cross Country State Champions...As an individual, Kaitie was the 2005 and 2006 4A Cross Country State Champion...She was runner-up at the 2006 Footlocker Midwest Regional, and 4th at the 2006 Footlocker National Cross Country Championship, earning an All-American honor...In 2007, she was the runner-up at the 5A State Championship in Cross Country...On the track, Kaitie was the 2005 4A 3200m and 1600m State Champion...In the same year, she also won the Golden West Invitational 3200m...High School Bests are 4:56 (1600m) and 10:16 (3200m).
Personal: Parents are Mike and Chris...Born January 11, 1991 in Topeka, KS...Parents were both DII Cross Country Individual Champions on the same day (1984)...Dad ran Steeplechase in the 1984 Olympic Trials...Both parents were All-Americans in Cross Country and Track...Kaitie sang in the choir and played the flute during high school...Was on Honor Roll 2005-2009...She is working toward a dual degree in Secondary Earth Science Education with a Bachelor of Science in Geology
