2011: Led all Tigers with a seventh-place finish in the 5K Notre Dame Invitational on Sept. 30, clocking in at 17:14 ... Finished 18th in the 6K race at the Big 12 Championships on Oct. 29... Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.
2010:Protected home turf with a win Sept. 11 at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, finishing in 17:37.20.
2009:
Put together arguably the finest season ever by a Missouri freshman as she was the Tigers' lone NCAA National Championship qualifier ... Finished 54th overall at the event and was the fifth-best freshman in the nation at the meet as she finished the trek in 20:57.40, the fastest time run by a Tiger at the NCAA Championships since 2003 and her 54th-place nod was the best by a Tiger since 2004 ... Her time at the NCAA Championships was also a season-best by any Tiger in a 6K and a personal-best clocking ... Earned NCAA All-Midwest Region honors with an eighth-place finish at the regional with a time of 21:01.80 ... Added an All-Big 12 accolade to her résumé as well in 2009, clocking in at 21:48.31 on her home course, placing 11th overall ... Turned in an eighth-place finish at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival and was the Tigers' top finisher at the race, clocking in at 21:18.78 ... Also added a Missouri Cross Country Challenge title to her ledger after running the 5K course in 17:54.30 ... Was the Tigers' top finisher in every race in which she competed.
High School: Finished the 2006 Footlocker National Cross Country Championships in fourth place, earning All-American honors while running at Dakota Ridge High School ... Was second in the Footlocker Cross Country Midwest Regional in 2005 as well ... Was the 2007 Colorado Class 5A cross country state runner-up in 2007 and State Class 4A Championship in 2006 and 2005 ... Was the 2006 Golden West Invitational 3,200m Champion ... Claimed the Colorado State 4A 3,200m and 1,600m crowns in 2006.
Personal: Daughter of Mike and Christine Vanatta and was born on Jan. 11, 1991, in Topeka, Kan. ... Plans to major in biology at Mizzou in hopes of becoming a Doctor of Medicine (MD).
