Cross Country - T.J. wasted no time in making a significant impact for the Tigers, placing in the top five throughout all five of his meets...He kicked off his Tiger career at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn., where he was the Tigers' second finisher, 41st overall, with a 25:09.50 finish on the 8000-meter course...He dropped that time down a few notches the following meet, finishing in 25:00.20 to lead the squad at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind., with a 30th overall placing...T.J. earned a PR 24:40 at the Adidas Wisconsin Invitational, crossing as the fourth Tiger in 152nd-place...He went on to place 23rd overall, third for the black and gold, at the SEC Championships in Gainesville, Fl., crossing as the top freshman in the conference to earn All-SEC Freshman Team and SEC Freshman of the Year honors...T.J. closed his season at the NCAA Midwest Regional, making his 10,000-meter debut in 31:13.30 for 34th overall.
Indoor Track -Competed in four meets during the indoor season, starting with the Wisconsin v. Missouri Dual in Madison, Wisc., where he placed fourth in the 3000-meter run with a final time of 8:28.29...He earned a season's best 4:09.28 in the mile run at the Rod McCravy Memorial to place fourth overall...He also finished sixth in the mile (4:11.50) at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark...T.J. ended his season at the SEC Championships in College Station, Tx., where he was a member of the seventh-place DMR team.
Outdoor Track - T.J. hit the track for a variety of events during the outdoor season, ranging from the 800-meter run to the 5000-meter run...He kicked off the season with his top 800-meter time at the Crimson Tide Invitational, where he crossed in 1:51.44 for 14th overall...He then bumped up to the 1500-meter run for the Mt. SAC Relays, finshing in 3:49.58 for 24th in the field...T.J. ended his season at the SEC Championships in Lexington, Ky., where he doubled-up in the 800-meter and 5000-meter runs...He placed 19th in the 800-meter run with a final time of 1:51.89 before tallying a point for the Tiger men in the 5000-meter run with his eighth-place finish in 14:24.27.
