Cross Country- Merid was consistently a top five runner for the Tigers throughout the season...Was 4th for the squad at the Iowa State Invitational, 7th overall, with a time of 25:53...Earned his first of three PR's at the Greater Louisville Classic, placing 36th overall in 24:32.41...Placed 2nd for the Tigers, 125th overall at the Adidas Wisconsin Invitational with his 24:24 PR on the 8k course...Was 25th overall at the SEC Championships in Nashville, TN, crossing the line in 24:37.68...Closed out the season with a 10k PR at the NCAA Midwest Regional in Springfield, MO, finishing in 31:09.96 for 33rd overall
Indoor Track- Started the season with a 2nd-place performance in the mile at the Missouri Invitational...Went on to take 5th in the 3k at the Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial Meet with a new PR of 8:18.51...Was 19th in the mile at the UW Husky Classic...Represented the Tigers at the SEC Championships in Fayetteville, AR, as a member of the 8th-place DMR team...Finished 8th in his own right at the conference championships, timing in with a new PR of 4:07.20 in the mile
Outdoor Track- Started the season with a 3rd-place finish in the 1500m at the Missouri Relays, crossing the line in 3:55.81...Hit a series of meets on the California coast, starting with the Stanford Invitational where he placed 26th in the 5k with a final time of 15:10.23...Closed out the trip with a 1500m season-best of 3:47.50 at the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational...Placed 11th in the 1500m at the Drake Relays with a 3:51.68 effort...Represented the Tiges at home in the SEC Championships in the 1500m and 5k, posting a season-best time of 14:59.21 in the 5k
Cross Country - Placed 14th in the 8K at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, posting a final time of 27:39.43...Finished 104th at the Notre Dame Invitational, finishing the 5-mile course in 25:33...Came through in 25:49 at the NCAA Pre-Nationals to earn 108th...Ran 25:06 at the Big 12 Championships to finish 59th...Took 57th at the NCAA Midwest Regional, completing the 10K course in 32:47.71
Indoor Track - Started the season with a 2nd place finish at the Missouri vs. Kansas Dual Meet for the DMR, and an individual 4th place finish in the 800m, which he finished in 1:57.20...Took 2nd in the Mile at the Illini Classic, crossing the line in 4:15.25...Followed that with an 8:29.10 3K performance at the Bill Bergan Invitational, earning himself 22nd place...Was 9th in the Mile at the Texas A&M Invitational in 4:13.94, and ran 8:27.38 for 4th in the 3K...Finished his seaon at the Big 12 Championship, where he earned a PR for the 3K in 8:22.18 and 4th in the DMR, earning an All-Big 12 honor
Outdoor Track - Earned two PRs in the 1500m and 5K this season...Started off with a 1st place finish at the Missouri Relays in the 1500m, where he finished in 3:53.55...Followed that up with a 4th place finish at the LSU Invitational in 3:49.12 and a 5th place finish at the Beach Invitational in 3:47.35...His 1500m PR came at the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational, where he took 13th in 3:47.35...Competed as part of the 4th place DMR team and 1st place 4x1600m team at the Drake Relays...Earned his 5K PR at the Big 12 Championship, where he placed 19th in 14:36.46 and 14th in the 1500m in 3:49.34
Cross Country - Posted Missouri's No. 4 time in all three meets he ran this season...Finished 14th overall at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, crossing the line in 27:07.62...Took 124th at the Greater Louisville Challenge, earning a season-best time of 25:22.91...Raced to 57th place at the Bradley Classic, finishing in 25:29

Ran at Birchmount Park for coach Bill Stephens...Also ran for the Phoenix Athletics Association in Toronto...Was part of two State Championship and 8 Regional and Metro Champion teams...Represented Canada at the 2009 IAAF World Youth Championship...Merid won 6 Regional Cross Country titles and led his team to a Provincial title (2007) and a 3rd place finish (2008)...Was a two-time Ontario Provincial Champion in the 1500m (2007, 2008) and 800m (2008)...Was a four-time Regional Champion for both the 1500m and 800m (2007-2010)...Earned a National Championship title in the 800m, and was Runner-Up in the 1500m (2009)
