Earned All-Midwest Region Honors for Cross Country (2011)
2011/2012:
Cross Country- Came in 15th in the 8K race at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, posting a final time of 27:52.82...Was 106th at the Notre Dame Invitational, finishing the 5-mile course in 25:34...Competed for the Tigers at the NCAA Pre-National Meet, where he finished 60th in 25:18...Took 37th in the 8K at the Big 12 Championships, crossing the line in 24:41.70...Earned All-Region honors following his 20th-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional, completing the 10K course in 31:44.32
Indoor Track- Competed primarily in the 3000m, starting with a 7th-place finish at the KU-MU Dual, where he finished in 8:51.24...Followed that up with a Personal Record performance of 8:39.95 at the Bill Bergan Invitational...Ran his only 5000m race of the season at the GVSU Big Meet, taking 15th in 14:42.32...Finished the season at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, posting a 3000m time of 8:41.46 to take 2nd-place
Outdoor Track- Started his outdoor season with a 3rd-place finish at the Missouri Relays in the 5000m, crossing the line in 14:47.56...Ran an 8:44.74 3000m at the LSU Battle on the Bayou Invitational...Competed in his first 10,000m run at the Mt. SAC Relays, where he took 7th with a Personal Record of 30:00.78...Ran another 10,000m at the Big 12 Championships, crossing the line in 31:15.07
2010/2011:
Cross Country- Finished 23rd overall, 5th for the Tigers, at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, finishing the 8K course in 27:47.70...Was the 3rd finisher for the Tigers, 115th overall, at the Greater Louisville Classic, where he finished in 25:18.83...Was once again Mizzou's 3rd runner at the Bradley Classic, where he finished 45th overall in 25:17...Turned in the Tigers' second-best showing at the Big 12 Championships, finishing 52nd overall with a time of 26:09.71...Ended the year with a 66th-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional, clocking in at 31:44.62 for the 10K course
Indoor Track- Competed primarily in the 3000m, with his only Mile finish coming at the end of the season at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, where he claimed 8th-place in 4:29.56...Started the season at the Missouri Invitational, finishing the 3000m race in 8:59.67 for 5th...Followed that up with a 9:04.45 finish at the KU-MU Dual meet, then a season-best time of 8:47.61 at the Bill Bergan Invitational...His final 3000m time was 9:00.52 at the Iowa State Classic
Outdoor Track- Primarily raced in the 3000m Steeplechase, starting with a 4th-place finish at the Missouri Relays, crossing the line in 9:40.47...Followed that with a 9:05.85 3000m finish at the Tom Botts Invitational...Competed in the Steeplechase at the Indiana University Outdoor Invitational, finishing 9th in 9:40.07...Earned his season-best Steeple time of 9:30.13 at the Georgia vs. Missouri Dual Meet, where he took 2nd-place...Finished the outdoor season with a 9:59.14 performance at the Big 12 Championship meet, good for 15th
2009/2010:
Cross Country- Competed at the SIU Early Bird and was clocked at 20:22.80 on the 6K course, good for 16th overall
Indoor Track- Ran unattached in te 3000m at the Missouri Invitational, finishing in 9:22.73...Took 4th place in the 3000m at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, running unattached with a time of 8:55.89
Outdoor Track- Ran unattached in the 5000m at the Missouri Relays, finishing in 15:10.88
High School:
Ran at Mexico HS under coaches Mitch Ridgeway and John Wilbeis...He was a 4-time MSHSAA Cross Country State Championship qualifier (2005-2008)...Earned Cross Country All-State Honors in 2006 (10th), 2007 (4th) and 2008 (4th)...Was a 3-time Cross Country District Champion (2006-2008) and 2-time Conference Champion (2006, 2008)...On the Track, Hayden qualified for 3 MSHSAA State Championships for the 1600m and 3200m (2007-2009)...He was a 5-time Conference Champion in the 1600m and 3200m (2007-2009) and won 2 District Titles in 2009...Helped his team to two Cross Country Conference Titles (2007, 2008)...High School Bests are 1:59 (800m), 4:32 (1600m), 9:35 (3200m), and 16:04 (5K XC)

Parents are Ray and Tracey...Born October 29, 1990 in Mexico, MO...Both parents are Mizzou grads...Cousin, Erin Edwards, runs D1 cross country and track and Missouri State...He is undefeated in competitive eating competitions...He was an Honor Roll student throughout high school...Is studying Biology and Nutrition & Fitness
