COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Mizzou track and field program will have eight meets at home this season as the program released its 2010 schedule on Monday (Oct. 12). Highlighting the Tigers' 2010 schedule is the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, which will be held at Audrey J. Walton Stadium on May 14-16. Mizzou will also host archrival Kansas in a dual meet as part of the M&I Bank Border Showdown, highlighting the Tigers' indoor slate.

Starting with the indoor season, the Tigers will open the 2010 campaign with back-to-back home meets as they will play host to the Missouri Invitational on Jan. 8 and return to the Hearnes Center Field House for the dual with KU. The Tigers will then hit the road for four-consecutive meets with back-to-back trips to Lincoln, Neb., for the Adidas Classic and the Nebraska Combined Events Meet on Jan. 23 and Jan. 29, respectively. The team will then travel to South Bend, Ind., for the prestigious Meyo Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame. The four-week road trip will culminate with the Iowa State Classic, one of the most well-renowned indoor meets, on Feb. 12-13.

Mizzou returns home the weekend of Feb. 20 as it hosts the Missouri Collegiate Challenge and the Missouri All-Comers Meet. That will serve as the Tigers' final tune-up prior to the Big 12 Indoor Championships, which will be held at Iowa State on Feb. 26-27. The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held on March 12-13 in Fayetteville, Ark.

The road will be a familiar place for the Tigers during the outdoor season, but not during the first two weeks as they will host the Missouri Relays and the Audrey Walton Combined Events from March 25-27. The following weekend, Mizzou will compete at home for the final time before the Big 12 Championships as it hosts the annual Tom Botts Invitational.

Two straight trips to the West Coast fall during the middle of April for the Tigers. First up is a trek to Track Town USA - Euegene, Ore. - as the Tigers will take part in the Pepsi Challenge, hosted by the University of Oregon on April 10. On April 14 the Tiger combined event athletes will travel to Asuza, Cal., for the Mt. SAC Combined Event meet.

Following their trek out west, the Tigers will stay in the Midwest for two of the nation's most prestigious events - the Kansas Relays (April 14-17) and the 101st running of the Drake Relays (April 22-24). The Arkansas Twilight closes out the outdoor regular season on April 30th.

The Big 12 Championships will be held at Audrey J. Walton Stadium on May 14-16. This will be the fourth time that Mizzou has hosted the Big 12 Outdoor Championships. The NCAA West Regional will be held on Austin, Texas, from May 28-29 while the NCAA National Championships will be in Eugene once again on June 9-12.
