COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou track and field program has been selected to host the 2013 Southeastern Conference Championships, as announced by the SEC on Tuesday (June 5). The SEC Championships comprise one of the world's top track and field meets each season as the conference is home to some of the premier track and field talent in the nation. The meet will be held from May 9-12 at Audrey J. Walton Stadium in Columbia. It will be the first SEC Championship to be held on Mizzou's campus.

This will mark the second time since 2010 that Mizzou will host a track and field championship. In 2010, Audrey J. Walton played host to the Big 12 Championships. The facility is no stranger to hosting large track meets as it was also selected as a host for the 2007 NCAA Mideast Regional and three additional Big 12 Championships (1998, 2000 and 2002).
