Columbia, Mo. - Coming off a dominating performance in the weight throw in the ISU Classic over the weekend, senior thrower Chris Rohr (Lee's Summit, Mo.) today was named the Big 12 Indoor Male Track Athlete of the Week. Rohr earns the honor again for the second time this year, and third time overall, after sharing the award earlier this year with Gerald Phiri of Texas A&M the week of Jan 13.

Rohr's toss of 22.71 meters in the finals of the men's weight throw last Friday was not only an NCAA-automatic qualifying throw, but also a Missouri indoor record. The 22.71 meters currently puts Rohr number one nationally among all weight throw competitors and in the Big 12 Conference.

Rohr and the rest of the team will return to action this week hosting the Missouri Collegiate Challenge on Friday and the Missouri All-Comers meet on Saturday, in a tune up for next week's Big 12 Indoor Championships in College Station, Texas.
