COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou track and field program will continue its indoor season this weekend as it will take part in the Texas A&M Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 11), beginning at noon. Mizzou will compete alongside teams from Texas A&M, Alabama, Baylor, Houston, Rice, TCU, USC and UTEP at the meet.

The Tigers are coming off of a week off to prepare for the Texas A&M Challenge as the team did not compete last weekend. The last time Mizzou competed was at the Iowa State Bill Bergan Invitational on Jan. 28. At that meet, Brooks Mosier (Lee's Summit, Mo.) stole the show as he notched a massive personal-best in the shot put after throwing 18.40m (60-4 ½), a mark that ranks him 16th nationally heading into the weekend.

He is not the only Tiger ranked among the national elite this year as teammate Malcolm Pennix (South Bend, Ind.) is the highest-ranked Tiger in any event this season as he is fourth nationally in the long jump with his personal-best leap of 7.74m (25-4 ¾) at the Missouri-Kansas Dual.

The Texas A&M Challenge will begin at noon with the long jump trials and finals on the men's side and the field events will conclude at 5 p.m. with the Olympic division triple jump. The track events will begin at noon with the running of the 60m hurdles preliminaries and will conclude around 5 p.m. with the running of the 4x400m relay.
