FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Missouri track and field team completed competition at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Saturday. Out of five Tigers at the meet, four earned All-American honors, three of those came on the final day. Senior Ashley Patten finished sixth in the women's 800-meter run, Hans Uldal placed seventh in the men's heptathlon, and freshman Chris Rohr was the seventh-best American in the men's weight throw.

Patten (Clarkston, Mich.) completed her collegiate indoor career with a sixth-place finish in the women 800 to gain her fourth all-time All-America honor. Patten finished with a time of 2:08.06.

Uldal (Arendal, Norway) is now a four-time All-American after his seventh-place performance in the men's heptathlon, scoring 5,593 points. In the three events of the day, Uldal tied his personal-best in with the pole vault, clearing 15 feet, 9 inches (4.80m); ran the 60-meter hurdles in a solid 8.31 time; and finished the meet with a 2:51.51 clocking in the 1000-meter run.

Sommerfeldt came three points within his personal best in the men's heptathlon, scoring 5,414 points, placing ninth. Sommerfeldt came into the meet as the 15th seed, but was helped by two personal bests during the two days. On Friday, Sommerfeldt high jumped 6-3¼ for the first PR. Saturday, Sommerfeldt ran his 60-meter hurdles in 8.47 to tie his previous PR. Also today, Sommerfeldt pole vaulted to 14-9 (4.50m) and was finished second in the 1000-meter run, timing 2:46.42.

Freshman Chris Rohr (Lee's Summit, Mo.), who improved his personal best by 18 inches last weekend in the final weekend to qualify for this meet, earned All-America honors in the men's weight throw. Today, Rohr placed 11th overall and was seventh among Americans, throwing 66-5¼ (20.25m). Rohr came out of the first flight in fourth place and had a legitimate shot to make the finals, but the second flight, performed well, preventing Rohr's advancement. Rohr became the third Tiger all-time to earn All-America honors with the weight throw, the last was Russ Bell in 2002 (fifth place).

Indoor season is now complete for the Tigers. Outdoor season will begin in two weeks with the Jim Click Combined Events at the University of Arizona and the Arizona State Invitational.
