Outdoor Track - Ser re-wrote his own record book during the outdoor season, making huge strides forward in the decathlon...His first big meet came at the Ole Miss Invitational, where he reset PR's in the 400-meter dash (50.29) and pole vault (3.74m / 12-3.5)...Scored a finaly tally of 6865 to place second at Ole Miss, earning three event wins along the way in the 110-meter hurdles, javelin, and 100-meter dash...Ser ended the season with a huge PR in the decathlon at the SEC Championships, finishing fourth with a total of 7047 points...Reset PR's in eight of the ten events along the way, including the javelin which he won with a toss of 60.18m (197-5).
Indoor Track - Ser competed as a multi-event athlete in his first season as a Tiger...Earned his first heptathlon score of 4137 at the Bill Bergan Multi-Event to place eighth in the competition...Earned season-best marks along the way in the high jump (1.73m / 5-8), 60-meter dash (7.28), and 1000-meter run (2:50.9)...Earned two more season-bests at the Missouri College Challenge, marking in at 6.58m (21-7.25) to place ninth in the long jump, and crossing the line in 8.33 to take third in the 60-meter hurdles.
Outdoor Track - Ser started off with a season-best toss of 33.62m (110-4) in the discus at the Missouri Relays...Earned season-bests in both of his events at the Tom Botts Invitational, throwing 52.99m (173-10) in the javelin and 12.12m (39-9.25) in the shot put to place fifth and 14th, respectively...Had his first decathlon score of 5632 at the Kansas Relays for sixth overall...Earned season-best times of 11.48 (100-meter dash), 52.34 (400-meter dash), 5:05.39 (1500-meter run), and 15.23 (110-meter hurdles) along the way...His 110-meter hurdles time was good to earn him third in the event, and he was second in the javelin with a toss of 51.88m (170-2.5).

Competed at Illini West HS...Helped his team to a fourth-place finish at the 2011 State Championships, and a sixth-place nod in 2010...As an individual, Ser was the Illinois State Champion in the 300-meter hurdles and 4x100-meter relay, while also placing third in the 4x200-meter relay...He was also a State Championship qualifier in 2011 for the 110-meter hurdles...Earned second-place in the 300-meter hurdles and 110-meter hurdles at the 2010 State Championships...Finished fourth in the triple jump as well as in the 2010 State Championships...He was a 2009 State qualifier in the 4x100-meter and 4x200-meter relays.
Born on June 4, 1993 in Carthage, Ill., to Bobbi Whitaker...Undecided on his major but plans to earn his Master's degree during his time at Mizzou.
