2007:
Outdoor: Earned third-consecutive birth in the decathlon to the NCAA Championships and placed 18th with 7,086 points ... placed third at the Big 12 meet in the
event for the third-straight year, notching season's best score of 7,283 ... finished runner-up in the dec at the Audrey Walton Combined Events ... in July, placed 11th in
the European Cup, Second League, Championships in Slovenia.
Indoor: Finished Tiger indoor career having finished in the top five of the heptathlon at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in each of his four years ... placed fifth in
2007 with score of 5,394.
2006:
Outdoor: NCAA Championship qualifier in the decathlon for second-consecutive year ... scored personal best of 7,337 points in repeat Bronze-medal finish at the
Big 12 Championships.
Indoor: Qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships and placed nith nationally in the heptathlon with a score of 5,414 points ... scored a career-best 5,417
points in third-place finish at the Big 12 Indoor.
2005:
Outdoor: NCAA Championship qualifier, placing 13th ... qualified with strong provisional personal-best mark of 7,336 points at the Walton Combined Events ...
third place at the Big 12 Championships in the decathlon with 7,262 points.
Indoor: Was named All-Big 12 for the second-consecutive season in the heptathlon with a fourth-place conference finish, scoring a career-best, NCAA provisional
mark of 5,308 ... grabbed career-bests in the pole vault (14-9) and long jump (22-7) at Big 12s as well.
2004:
Outdoor: Season best in the decathlon came at the College Station Relays with a fourth-place finish, scoring 6,993 points ... placed 12th at the Big 12
Championships (5,543).
Indoor: Earned All-Big 12 honors with a fifth-place finish at the Big 12 Championship heptathlon (4,963) ... ran for a personal-best of 8.58 in the 60-meter hurdles,
winning at the Missouri All-Comers.
High School:
Finished 14th in the decathlon in the Junior National World Championships in Kingston, Jamaica (2002) ... Twice finished second at the Norweigian Junior National
Championships in the decathlon event (2002 & 2003) ... had an eighth place finish in the European Cup, division 2 (2003).
Personal:
Son of Harald & Eli Sommerfeldt ... majoring in communcations and German ... brother, Knut Sommerfeldt, was a three-time Big 12 Champion in the decathlon here at
Mizzou ... sister, Eli was also an excellent heptathlete ... born May 29, 1983 in Drammen, Norway.
