(2005) Holly Scherder enters her first season with the Missouri Track and Field Staff. A native of Frankford, Mo., Scherder will work with the women's throwers as she was a Tiger thrower herself. In 2004, Scherder earned All-America honors in the hammer throw, capturing a new school record in the event with a 199-4 (60.76m) throw in winning a Big 12 title. Also in 2004, Scherder broke the school's record in the weight throw with a toss of 61-10½ (18.86m) at the Big 12 Indoor Championships.
Scherder graduated from Missouri in December 2004, with an undergraduate degree in hotel and restaurant management and is currently working on her masters' degree in health education and promotions.

Outdoor: All-American in the hammer throw, qualifiying with a fifth-place performance at the NCAA Mideast Regional in Baton Rouge ... Big 12 Champion in the event, throwing a school-record toss of 199-4 (60.76m) ... placed in the top two with the hammer in seven meets.
Indoor: All-Big 12 with a third-place showing at the conference indoor, throwing the weight a school-record distance of 61-10½ (18.86m) ... placed in the top three in the event in eight of nine meets.
2003:
Outdoor: Achieved personal best and earned all-Big 12 honors in the hammer throw with a toss of 175-9 at the Big 12 Championships in Austin ... NCAA Regional Qualifier in the hammer as well ... won hammer throw event at both the Tom Botts Invite and the Missouri Relays.
Indoor: Recovering from a knee surgery in November ... threw at six meets in the weight throw event ... finished 13th at the Big 12 Championships with a throw of 50-¾ with the 20-lb. weight ... season-best with in the weight throw was 51-9¼ at the MU/KU/KSU Triangular.
2002:
Outdoor: Ninth in the hammer at the Big 12 Championships (155-2) ... also competed in the shot at the conference meet ... had a personal-best hammer throw of 174-9 at the Iowa Musco Twilight Invitational ... event champion at Missouri Relays and Tom Botts Invitational.
Indoor: Finished ninth in the weight throw at the Big 12 Championships ... improved her personal best in the weight throw by more than five feet from the previous season ... personal best in the weight throw was a 53-4.25 mark at the Missouri Triangular.
2001:
Outdoor: Runner-up in the hammer at Tom Botts (147-11) ... third in the shot put at the Missouri Relays (42-0.5).
Indoor: Competed in the shot put and the hammer at the Big 12 Championships.
High School:
Four-Time all-state shot put thrower for Bowling Green High School ... also several time all-conference, all-district, and all-sectional ... also a great basketball and softball player ... named all-state in Basketball in 2000 and all-conference and all-district in softball three years consecutive.
