Cross Country- Started his senior season at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, where he was 13th overall on home turf...Earned a significant 8k PR at the Notre Dame Invite, finishing second for the Tigers, 66th overall, in 25:09...Went on to be the Tigers top finisher at NCAA Pre-Nationals, finishing the 8k course in 25:15 to place 57th overall...Once again dropped his 8k PR, this time down to 24:24.5, at the Big 12 Championships, finishing first for the Tigers, 24th overall, for a sixth place team finish...Ended his Missouri Cross Country career at the Midwest Regional where he was the Tigers' second finisher in 40th place, crossing the line in 32:23.24.
Indoor Track- Started the season with a win and new PR in the mile at the MU KU Dual Meet, crossing the line in 4:12.55...Finished out the season at the Big 12 Championships, earning a new PR of 8:09.54 in the 3k and another All-Big 12 honor with an eighth-place finish in the 5k, clocking in at 14:03.49, a new Missouri School Record.
Outdoor Track- Set his second school record in the 5k this season, along with two new personal records, another All-Big 12 honor, and a 20th-place finish at the NCAA Championships in the 5k...His first performance, and PR, came at the LSU Invitational where he won the 1500m in 3:45.50...Went on to finish second at the Mt. SAC Relays, earning a new PR and school record in the 5k with a final time of 13:55.46...Was part of the fourth-place DMR team at the Drake Relays, finishing with an overall time of 9:40.12...He was also a part of the winning 4x1600m team at the Drake Relays, helping his team to a final finish of 16:47.87...Was second in the 5k at the Big 12 Championships, crossing the line in 14:01.84...Qualified for the NCAA Preliminary Round, where he finished 12th overall in 14:12.99...Finished the season at the NCAA Championships, placing 20th in the nation with a time of 14:17.71.
Cross Country- Competed unattached at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, running the 8k course in 26:04.75.
Indoor Track- Did not compete.
Outdoor Track- Started the season with an eighth-place performance in the 1500m at the Missouri Relays, crossing in 3:57.76...Went on to place fourth in the 3k at the Tom Botts Invitational...Earned an All-Big 12 honor with his seventh-place finish in the 3k Steeplechase, finishing in 9:10.58.
Cross Country- Dan started his season at the Roy Griak Invitational, where he completed the 8K course with a time of 25:50.1, leading the Tigers with a 47th place finish...Went on to earn a new 10K PR at the Chile Pepper Festival where he finished first for the Tigers, 35th overall, in 31:04.29...Once again finished first for the Tigers at the Big 12 Championships, claiming 29th overall in 25:51.87...Ended the season at the Midwest Regional where he traversed the 10k course in 33:24.5.
Indoor Track- Was fourth in the mile at the Missouri Invitational, crossing the line in 4:20.71...Went on to earn a personal-best time of 4:19.22 in the mile at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge to claim second...Finished the season at the Big 12 Championships where he ran the 3k in 8:28.42.
Outdoor Track- Did not compete.
Cross Country- Started the season at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, finishing third for the Tigers and fifth overall with a time of 27:11.5...Earned a new PR at the Roy Griak Invitational, finishing the 8k course in 26:13...Continued to best his PR at the NCAA Pre-National meet, crossing the line in 25:04.4...Was the fifth finisher for the Tigers, 42nd overall, at the Big 12 Championships, clocking in at 25:32.4, finishing the scorers for a fifth place team finish...Finished the season at the Midwest Regional, where he was the fourth Tiger in, 38th overall, in 32:17.7 to help the team to a fifth place finish.
Indoor Track- Was fourth in the mile at the Missouri Invitational, crossing the line in 4:19.70...Set a personal-best at the Big 12-SEC Challenge in the 5k, crossing the line in 14:36.73...Earned another personal-best time in the 3k at the Big 12 Championships, finishing in 8:21.
Outdoor Track- Earned All-Big 12 honors in the 3k Steeplechase with a sixth place finish...Qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship in the 3k Steeplechase after winning the Jefferson Cup in 9:01.65.
Cross Country- Ran in his first collegiate race at the Roy Griak Classic where he placed 96th overall...Had an impressive performance at the Big 12 Championships, finishing fourth for the Tigers and 48th overall with a personal-best time of 26:24...Continued his late surge at the Midwest Regional where he was once again the fourth Tiger finisher in the 10k race, clocking in at 31:52.
Indoor Track- Competed in the 3k at the Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup and Notre Dame Meyo Invitational, finishing in 8:36.30 and 8:40.03, respectively...Competed in the 3k at the Big 12 Championships...Was ninth with the DMR squad at the league meet.
Outdoor Track- Ran the steeplechase at the Jefferson Cup Dual, placing fourth overall.
Competed at Christian Brothers College HS for coach Bernie Sill...Helped his team to a fourth-place finish at the MSHSAA Cross Country State Championships (2007)...As an individual, he was the 2006 Conference champion in cross country...Was also the St. Louis Track Club and St. Louis Post-Dispatch All-Metro First Team Cross Country (2005, 2006)...He was a two-time All-State cross country athlete, finishing eighth in 2005 and second in 2006...Went on to finish in the top 20 at the Footlocker Midwest Cross Country Championship in 2006...On the track, he was Conference champion in the 1600m (2006, 2007), breaking the record in 2007 (4:16)...He was a two-time All-State runner, finishing second in the 3200m and fourth in the 1600m (2006)...High School bests are 4:16.7 (1600m) and 9:08.91 (3200m).
Parents are Gaylerd and Ann...Born January 14, 1989 in St. Louis, MO...Graduated seventh in his class in HS with a 4.3 GPA...Member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Men's Track and Field teams (2009, 2012)...Missouri Bright Flight Scholar...Mizzou Curator Award Winner...Carrying a 3.9 GPA in grad school...Currently working towards his MS in Mechanical Engineering.
