Michelle Moran enters her third year as one of the Tigers' Administrative Assistants. Moran's primary responsibility off the track is the handling of the Friends of Track organization. On the track, Moran had a breakthrough year in her third year as a post-collegian. Moran scored a personal-best in the heptathlon with a score of 5,842 at the 2004 USATF Olympic Trials, placing seventh. Moran qualified through a previous personal-best score obtained at the Inaugural Audrey Walton Combined Event where she scored 5,698 points, breaking her own four-year old Walton Stadium record. Moran also finished second at the USATF Indoor Combined Event Championships in 2004.
As a Tiger collegian, Moran was crowned Big 12 Heptathlon Champion in 2000. Also in 2000, Moran earned All-America honors and qualified for the USATF Olympic Trials. In 2001, Moran took a year off to rehabilitate from a back injury.
Michelle graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri's College of Education in 2002 and is now completing a master's degree in Business Administration.
