A small distance crew flew to Seattle, WA, for one of the most competitive distance meets in the country while another squad traveled to Arkansas for more SEC competition

2011/2012:
Indoor Track- Started his career as a Tiger with a second-place finish in the high jump at the MU KU Dual, earning his personal-best mark of 2.00m (6-6.75)...His second-best jump of the season came at the Bill Bergan Invitational, where he marked in at 1.95m (6-4.75) to take ninth.
Outdoor Track- Tied his personal-best jump of 2.00m (6-6.75) at the Missouri Relays to finish second...Ended his season at the Tom Botts Invitational, where he marked in at 1.91m (6-3.25) for a third-place finish.
High School:
Competed at Cameron HS for coaches Kurt Dikkut and Matt Wenck...Mitch was a four-time Conference Champion in the high jump (2008-2011), and also won in the triple jump (2010)...He was also a three-time MSHSAA All-State high jumper (2009-2011), and won the State Title in the event his senior year...Mitch also played basketball in high school, and was a two-time All-State athlete (2010, 2011)...High School bests are 6-8 (high jump) and 42-11 (triple jump).

Parents are Richard and Lee Ann...Born January 23, 1993 in St. Joseph, MO...Graduated high school as Salutatorian and was on honor roll all four years...School of Journalism Dean's List (Fall 2011, Spring 2012)...MU Excellence Award recipient...Varsity Letter recipient for track and field at Missouri (2012)...Is studying Strategic Communications with an emphasis in Art Direction at Missouri.
