2011 Indoor: Competed primarily in the weight throw during the indoor season and posted a season-best mark of 16.32m, also a personal-best in the event, at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, placing fifth overall at the meet. Outdoor: Competed in a variety of throws events during the outdoor season and set personal-bests in three different events, two of which came at the Big 12 Championships ... Threw 15.17m in the shot put, a personal-best, at the Big 12 Championships, placing 18th overall ... Also set a personal-record in the hammer throw at the Big 12 Championships with a toss of 50.19m ... His personal-best in the discus came at the Kip Janvrin Open where he tossed 50.36m.

Two-time first-team All-State honoree at Timberland High School and was the Class 4A MSHSAA Discus Champion in 2009 ...
