Cross Country - Protected home turf when he won the men's 8K at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge with a final time of 26:43.07...Led the Tigers with a 46th-place finish in the 5-mile race at the Notre Dame Invitational, clocking in at 24:53...Was 76th in the 8K at the NCAA Pre-Nationals, posting a time of 25:29...Took 25th in the 8K race at the Big 12 Championship finishing in 24:25...Finished the 10K course at the NCAA Midwest Regional in 32:27.01 to earn 42nd place...Was named to the Academic First Team All-Big 12

Indoor Track - Was arguably the Tigers' top distance runner during the indoor season and reset personal-best marks in the 3K and 5K...Ran a 4:28.10 for the Mile at the MU-KU Dual, good for 7th place...Travelled to the GVSU Big Meet, where he raced a 14:33.41 for 9th in the 5K...At the Big 12 Championship, Max earned new PRs in the 3K and 5K, racing the 3K in 8:22.15 for 25th and the 5K in 14:18.71 for 12th

Outdoor Track - Continued his outstanding year with more personal records and a new Missouri school record...Began the season with a 1st place finish at the Missouri Relays, clocking in a 14:21.68 5K...Took 2nd in the 1500m at the LSU Invitational, racing to a new PR of 3:46.86...Went on to take 5th in the 10K at Mt. SAC Relays, racing to a new PR and Missouri School Record of 29:15.61...Was part of the winning 4x1600m team at the Drake Relays...Was 14th at the Big 12 Championship in the 5K, finishing in 14:28.30...Finished the season at the NCAA West Preliminary Round, where he was 34th in the 10K, crossing the line in 31:36.81

2010/2011:

Cross Country - Led Mizzou with a 50th place finish at the Greater Louisville Challenge with a time of 24:43.08...Came in 20th overall, 2nd among the Tigers, at the Bradley Classic, clocking in at 24:48...Paced the Tigers once again at the Big 12 Championships, finishing 39th in 25:26.49...Closed out the season with a Tiger-best 53rd place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a 10K PR of 31:21.83

Indoor Track - Started the season with a 2nd place performance at the Missouri Invitational, completing the Mile in 4:22.16...Was 4th at the KU-MU Dual in the 3K, crossing the line in 8:48.19...Ran 8:27.44 at the Iowa State Classic to take 12th in the 3K

Outdoor Track - Took 3rd in the Stanford Invitational 5K, finishing in a season-best time of 14:19.04...Followed that up with a series of 1st place finishes, starting with the Tom Botts 1500m, which he completed in 3:51.71...Took 1st at the Indiana University Invitational, crossing the line in 14:44.11 for 5K...Also won the 3K at the Georgia vs. Missouri Dual Meet in 8:29.20...Was 15th at the Big 12 Championship in the 5K, finishing in 14:38.86

2009/2010:

Cross Country - Ran to a 62nd place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional after clocking a 10K time of 32:49.80...Ran for Mizzou at the Big 12 Chamionship, placing 58th overall with a season-best time of 26:32.90...His season-best 10K time came at the Arkansas Chile Pepper Invitational, where he placed 51st in 31:42.44...He also ran at the Roy Griak Invitational, where he placed 77th for the 8K in 26:42

Indoor Track - Ran the 3K at the Missouri Invitational, placing 4th in 8:42.26...Was 2nd at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge for the 3K, finishing in 8:47.66

Outdoor Track- Took 3rd in the 1500m at the Missouri Relays, crossing the line in 4:03.49...Won the Tom Botts Invitational 3K in 8:30.51...Was 11th in the 5K at the Oregon Pepsi Invitational, finishing in 14:45.29...Ran the 1500m at the Arkansas Twilight, finishing in 4:07.98 for 19th...Finished out the season at the Big 12 Championship, where to was 24th in the 10K, finishing in 32:25.37

Ran for Archbishop O'Hara HS under coach Mike Martin...He was the West Central Cross Country Champion in 2007 and 2008...Earned the MSHSAA Class 2 State Cross Country Title in 2007...Max was a 3-time MSHSAA All-State athlete for Cross Country (2006-2008)...Named to the First Team All-Metro Cross Country by the Kansas City Star (2007, 2008)...On the track, Max was a 5-time West Central Conference 3200m Champion (2007-2008), 1600m Champion (2009), and 800m Champion (2009)...Earned 5 MSHSAA All-State honors for the 3200m (8th-2007, 2nd-2008, 4th-2009) and 1600m (6th-2008, 5th-2009)...First Team All-Metro for 1600m by the Kansas City Star (2009)...High School Bests are 4:17.12 (1600m), 9:22.74 (3200m), and 15:31.07 (5K XC)
