Cross Country - Kaelyn started her season at the Forest Park Cross Country Festival, where she placed 16th on the 5000m course in 18:36.00...She went on to navigate her sole 6000m run of the season at the Roy Griak Invitational before ending the season at the Bradley Pink Classic, where she completed in the 3.73m course in 22:23.60.

Cross Country - Kaelyn made her debut with the Tigers at the Missouri v. Arkansas Dual, where she placed second for the black and gold...She finished in the top seven consistently throughout the season, including scoring as Mizzou's fifth finisher in three of her five meets...She earned a season's best 21:43 on the 6000m course in Peoria, Ill., during the Bradley Classic, helping the team to a first-place finish with her 26th individual placing...She ended her season at the NCAA Midwest Regional as the Tigers' fifth woman across the line in 21:55.10 for 6000m.
Indoor Track - Kaelyn competed in four meets throughout the indoor season, including the prestigious Rod McCravy Memorial Meet...She earned a season's best 10:17.90 in the 3000m run at the Missouri Invitational to place fourth, and ended the season with a first-place finish in the 5000m at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge (17:38.42).
Outdoor Track - Kaelyn was on the road for all of two of her three meets during the outdoor season, traveling with the team to the Crimson Tide and SIUE Gateway Invitationals...She earned a season's best 17:38.92 in the 5000m at the Gateway Invite, placing fourth overall.

Kaelyn competed for Bishop Carroll Catholic HS under coach Ran Nielson...CROSS COUNTRY...Was a member of the 2010 and 2011 KSHSAA 5A State Champion team...Team place second at the 2009 and 2012 KSHSAA Championships...Kaelyn was a two-time KSHSAA 5A Cross Country Champion (2011-12), and a two-time KSHSAA Runner-Up (2009-10)...She was a three-time Nike Cross Regionals Second Team finisher (2010-12)...TRACK & FIELD...Team was the 2011 KSHSAA 5A State Champion and 2012 KSHSAA 5A State Runner-Up...Kaelyn was a three-time KSHSAA 5A State Champion in the 3200m (2013) and 4x800m (2012-13)...She was also the Runner-Up at the KSHSAA Championships for the 3200m (2010-12).
Parents are Scot and Eileen Balch...Kaelyn's twin sister, Ashlyn, is a member of the Co-Ed Mizzou Cheer Team...Born April 27, 1995 in Wichita, Kan...Was a member of the Student Council (2010-12)...Yearbook staff member (2011-12)...Earned Third Class honors (2010-13)...Was a Kansas High School Scholastic Art Show finalist (2013)...Is planning on studying Sports Management with minors in Art and Business at Mizzou, with hopes to go on to graduate school in graphic design and pursue a career in advertising/design for professional sport franchises.
