Indoor Track - Trained for the pole vault and combined events throughout the indoor season...Started off with an 8th-place finish in the shot put competition at the Missouri Invitational, throwing 13.23m (43-5)...Went on to compete in the pole vault and 60m hurdles at the Kentucky Rod McCravy Memorial Meet, placing 14th in the pole vault with a mark of 3.50m (11-5.75) and 19th in the hurdles with a final time of 9.05...Earned her best mark of the season in the pentathlon at the Husker Invitational, scoring 3,699 points to place 5th overall...She also earned a PR in the high jump at the Husker Invite, jumping 1.61m (5-3.25)...Threw a new PR in the shot put at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, marking in at 13.33m (43-9) to place 6th in the competition...Represented the Tigers at the SEC Championships, competing in both the pole vault and the pentathlon...Placed 11th in the pentathlon with a final score of 3,677, and 12th in the pole vault with a final jump of 3.70m (12-1.5)...Ended out the season at the Arkansas Final Qualifier, where she vaulted a season's best 4.03m (13-2.5) to place 4th overall.
Outdoor Track - Katrine had a series of break-out performances throughout the outdoor season, and ended the year with two new Missouri School Records in the pole vault and javelin, as well as an All American finish at the NCAA Championships in the pole vault...She started the season off at the Missouri Relays, taking the win in the javelin with a toss of 46.30m (151-11)...Went on to place 3rd in the javelin at the Arkansas Spring Invitational, besting her previous performance with a mark of 47.70m (156-6)...Also competed in the 100m hurdles and 4x400m at the Arkansas Invite...Had a big meet at the Ole Miss Invitational, winning her heptathlon debut as a Tiger with a final score of 5,374...She also took a win in the javelin at the Ole Miss Invitational, tossing 47.58m (156-1)...Earned her first Missouri School Record of the season at the Drake Relays, where she threw 49.56m (162-7) to place 3rd in the competition...Also competed in the pole vault at Drake, ending at 4th with a final mark of 4.05m (13-3.5)...Was an All-SEC finisher at the Outdoor Championships, placing 3rd in the pole vault with her jump of 4.10m (13-5.25)...Just missed out on a second All-SEC finish in the javelin, ending at 4th with her mark of 47. 13m (154-7)...Went on to compete at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in both the pole vault and javelin, making it out with a 4th-place finish in the pole vault...Was 5th at the NCAA Championships in the pole vault, breaking her own Missouri School Record of 4.20m (13-9.25) with a final mark of 4.35m (14-3.25) to make it onto the podium.
Indoor Track - Did not compete.
Outdoor Track - Katrine's first season as a Tiger was nothing short of impressive as she finished with a school record, All-Big 12 honor, and a 15th-place performance at the NCAA National Championships...Her school-record jump of 4.20m (13-9.25) came at the ESU Mid-Week Open, winning her the event...Katrine also competed in the javelin throw, earning a personal-best mark of 47.92m (157-2.5) at the Drake Relays to finish sixth...Competed in both events at the Big 12 Championships, where she earned 12th in the pole vault with a mark of 3.68m (12-0.75) and sixth in the javelin with a throw of 43.99m (144-3.75) to win her first All-Big 12 honor...Also qualified for the NCAA Championships Preliminary Round, placing 25th in the javelin and eighth in the pole vault, good to earn her a spot at the NCAA National Championships...Finished 15th in the field at the National Championships for the pole vault after a mark of 4.15m (13-7.25).
PRIOR TO MIZZOU
Katrine came to Missouri from Norway where she graduated from Tertnes Secondary School and competed for the Gular Athletic Club...She holds a personal-best of 5,267 in the heptathlon and was the National Junior Indoor Champion in the pole vault (2009)...She also competed in the 13th IAAF World Junior Championships, where she placed seventh in the heptathlon (2010)...Other personal-bests include 14.30 (100m hurdles), 25.77 (200m), 2:20 (800m), 1.60m/5-3 (high jump), 5.54m/18-2 (long jump), 12.92/42-4.75 (shot put), and 48.18/158-1 (javelin).
Parents are Jørn Haarklau and Ingun Herdlevær...Born February 21, 1991 in Bergen, Norway...Is studying Sports Management at Missouri.
