Outdoor Track- Started his career as a Tiger with a win in the javelin at the Missouri Relays, marking at 64.15m (210-5.5)...Went on to take another first place finish at the Tom Botts Invitational with a throw of 61.73m (202-6.25)...Earned his season-best at the Kansas Relays, finishing sixth with a throw of 65.92m (216-3.25)...Earned his first All-Big 12 honor with a mark of 62.85m (206-2.5), good for sixth...Finished his season out at the NCAA Championships West Preliminary Round.

Macauley competed at Mill Valley HS for coaches Cory Wurtz and Chris Dunback...He helped lead his team to four League Championship titles (2008-2011) and two Regional Championship titles (2008, 2010)...As an individual, Macauley broke the Mill Valley HS and Kaw Valley League javelin records...He was a four-time KSHSAA State Championship qualifier (2008-2011), and earned three-All State honors and two Championship titles (2010, 2011)...He was also a two-time Regional Champion and Kaw Valley Champion in the Javelin (2010, 2011)...In 2011, Macauley was the Kansas Relays Champion in the javelin, and the javelin Champion at the Great Southwest Track & Field Classic...He was a two-time USA 1st Team Elite honoree in the javelin, as released by Milesplit (2010, 2011)...Was also the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year for Boys' Track & Field (2011)...High School best is 68.35m (224-3) in the javelin.
