I am so excited and hope you will want to become a member of this association! This is a great opportunity to keep in touch, renew friendships, make new ones and show your support of current cheerleaders and mascots at Mizzou.
I am enclosing a membership form, please make copies and send it to any and every former cheerleader and Truman you know!! I have some addresses but am far from having everyone!!!
With the support from many of you and the Department of Athletics we have developed a Constitution and By-Laws for the Mizzou Alumni Cheerleading and Mascot Association.
Benefits of Membership:
- A yearly alumni Cheer/mascot newsletter.
- Pre-game Tailgate party and annual meeting.
- University rate for requested Truman and/or Cheerleader appearances.
- Receive an autographed Truman and Cheerleader poster.
- Provides an avenue for Alumni to congregate.
Goals:
- Establish a Scholarship Fund to benefit current Mizzou Cheerleaders and Mascots.
- Assist with squad needs and costs to compete at Nationals.
- Update and assist with the MU Cheer/Mascot website.
- Provide a system of support for current and former members to develop professional and personal networks.
I look forward to hearing from each of you!! Once we have the membership established you will get information on our first activity and meeting date to elect Board Members and officers.
