Student Volunteers – Mizzou Network
The University of Missouri Department of Athletics is seeking volunteers to assist with the live production of games on the Mizzou Network, the department's online video streaming service. Along with its on-demand content, the Mizzou Network streams live video for every home competition in the sports of women's soccer, women's volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball. In addition, Gary Pinkel and Frank Haith's weekly press conferences are streamed live.
The Mizzou Network is also the department's portal for on-demand viewing of highlights, interviews, and other features.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will assist the office with all aspects of online operations, including:
- Setup and teardown of streaming equipment;
- Operation of live video stream;
- Updating of score "bug" graphics, when applicable;
- Upload of archive file for on-demand viewing;
- Performance of other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Must be a full-time student at the University of Missouri enrolled in undergraduate or graduate-level classes.
Competencies: To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- A basic understanding of Windows computer systems and the Internet;
- A basic understanding of audio/visual setup;
- Problem-solving skills.
Additional skills, such as production, videography, editing, etc., are welcomed.
