Varsity M Association
Our Purpose:
The Association is an affiliate program of the University of
Missouri, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The purpose
of the Association is to support the goals and objectives of the
University of Missouri Athletic Department in carrying out its mission
for academic and athletic excellence for its student-athletes.
The Association reunites former Mizzou varsity student-athletes in the
spirit of fellowship and cooperation for the proactive reason of
supplementing the athletic departments effort to enhance the academic
and athletic experience for current Tiger student-athletes.
The Association will also assist the athletic department in its ongoing
effort to promote the best image possible for all of its programs.

Objectives of The Association
- To develop events and activities designed to promote membership in the Association.
- To improve the quality of participation and the level of involvement of former student-athletes in Tiger athletic programs.
- To create and distribute a Varsity M Association membership directory.
- To sponsor programs that will increase career guidance, summer jobs, and internships for current student-athletes.
- To generate enthusiasm and involvement in order to increase financial support and networking opportunities for the entire University of Missouri athletic program.

- Annual convention and fall event
- Homecoming Tailgate Party
- Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
- Participation in CLAWS and related events (Connecting Letter-winning Alumni With Student-Athletes) -- a career mentoring program in conjunction with Life Skills.
- Team reunions
- Pre-game events (football tailgates and basketball luncheons)
- Senior recognition ceremony
- Black and Gold Golf Tournament and Alumni Football Game & Tailgate Party

- Gain opportunities to purchase Varsity M Assoc. apparel and other MU merchandise.
- Be recognized as a Varsity M member in the football programs.
What Can You Do?
- Become an active member of the Varsity M Association for only $35.00 per year.
- Support the Tigers by attending Varsity M and other Athletic Dept. sponsored events.
- Become a CLAWS career mentor.
- Help raise funds to support MU varsity teams through scholarships sponsored by the Varsity M Association.
- Volunteer at Tiger Scholarship Fund events to raise money for Tiger Athletics.
- Encourage teammates and friends who have worn the Black & Gold to join the Association.
Points of Pride
- The Varsity M Association recently committed to raising enough funds to sponsor and name the Student-Athlete Lounge in the newly- rennovated Success Center. Varsity M mem bers will have access to this facility, and it will provide a great place for teammates to reunite, relax, and relive their glory days as a Tiger!
- The Association proudly sponsors the fully- endowed Varsity M Association-Don Faurot Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to help student-athletes who have completed their eligibility before graduating, and who wish to complete their education by attaining their degree.
- The Varsity M Associaiton unites women and men, the young and not-so-young MU letter winners in fun, fellowship, and celebration of the great athletic tradition at Mizzou. Through the Association, We can all work together to make Tiger Athletics even better than ever before!
