Vince Volpe became the Executive Director of Development & TSF in October of 2007. Vince is a member of the senior management team within the Department of Athletics and oversees all development operations within the Tiger Scholarship Fund, including the $150 million Champions for Life capital campaign, the Tiger Scholarship Fund annual giving/ticket priority program, the coordination of all suite lease agreements in football and men's basketball, and the Gift-In-Kind program. Volpe also oversees all aspects of Mizzou's 140 endowed scholarships totaling more than $25 million as well as all aspects of estate and planned giving totaling more than $25 million. The development office and the Tiger Scholarship Fund are responsible for annual revenue production in excess of $16 million.
In December of 2005 Vince assumed the role of Director of Athletics Development; his primary role was to oversee the Champions for Life capital campaign as well as all aspects of the department's major giving program. Vince began his tenure with the University of Missouri in February of 2004 as Assistant Director of Development. He was the primary contact for more than 1,000 donors in the Kansas City, MO market. He also oversaw sport specific campaigns, former student-athlete locker campaigns for football, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball and soccer, Tiger Scholarship Fund brochure production and donor signage.
Before joining Mizzou, Volpe worked in the Department of Athletics at the University of Kentucky as an Athletics Department Associate. At UK he had the unique opportunity to work in several administrative departments including marketing, game operations, event management and development. Prior to his tenure at UK Volpe spent five years at Indiana University both as a student-athlete and intern. While working at IU, Volpe was an intern in athletics administration working directly with the executive management team within the Department of Athletics.
A native of Baltimore, Md., Volpe attended Indiana University on a baseball scholarship. In 2002, he graduated with his BS degree in Sport Management. Volpe continued his education at IU and in 2003 graduated with his MS degree in Athletics Administration. While studying for his graduate degree at Indiana he was an Associate Instructor within the Department of Kinesiology.
Vince Volpe is a member of the Big Brother's Big Sister's of Boone County Missouri Board of Directors and a member of the Central Missouri Food Bank Board of Directors.
Volpe currently resides in Columbia, Mo.
