Sports Medicine

Thank you for visiting the University of Missouri Sports Medicine Webpage!
The University of Missouri Sports Medicine team consists of team physicians, under the direction of nationally recognized orthopaedist Dr. Patrick Smith, a highly experienced staff of 14 certified athletic trainers, a group of dedicated and hard-working student athletic trainers, and several allied health care professionals. The mission of our athletic health services is very simple - to provide the best possible health care for all University of Missouri student-athletes. Our Dr. Glenn L. McElroy Sports Medicine Center is, without question, one of the finest state-of-the-art collegiate sports medicine facilities in the country. In addition to the "MAC", we have a beautiful athletic training facility in Mizzou Arena, well-equipped facilities at the Hearnes Center and Walton Track/Soccer Stadium, and a fine game-day facility (including x-ray) at Memorial Stadium.
The University of Missouri Sports Medicine staff is highly respected, and extremely excited about the University’s recent strides in the inception of an Athletic Training Education Program. Individuals, in our staff have been involved in many local, state, national, and international athletic training activities, and represent athletic trainers in many leadership positions.
Remember, there is only ONE state, ONE spirit, and ONE MIZZOU. If you have any questions about MIZZOU Sports Medicine, or if I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Rex L. Sharp
