The Mizzou team stopped in seven Missouri Counties
Dr. Bryan Maggard is in his 15th year at the University of Missouri and serves as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Student Services.
Maggard is responsible for directing the areas of Academic Services, Athletics Dining Hall, Equipment Operations, Life Skills, Sport and Counseling Psychological Services, Sports Medicine, and Strength and Conditioning. Additionally, Maggard serves as an instructor for various campus courses and is a member of numerous campus and professional committees.
During his time at MU, Dr. Maggard has been a recipient of MU's Barbara S. Uehling Award for Administrative Excellence and has been a nominee for the University's Excellence in Education Award.
A native of Dexter, Kan., Maggard came to Missouri from Florida State University, where he spent two years as the assistant director of academic support. Prior to his stint at FSU, he spent four years at Kansas State University, overseeing the academic support services for the Wildcat football program.
Maggard received a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in health and physical education, both from Kansas State. He received a Ph.D. in Education and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri.
A member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), Maggard is married to the former Kerry Tarrant. They have a 14-year-old son, Dalton, a 12-year-old daughter, Aubrey, and an 10-year old daughter, Kaylin.
