Entering his first year on staff and returning to Mizzou is former Tiger fullback T.J. Leon. Leon joins the Development team after spending a year and a half at the University of North Texas and the previous two years at the University of Oklahoma.

Leon's primary responsibilities within the Tiger Scholarship Fund will include oversight of suite operations, assist with major gift solicitation and the development and solicitation of planned giving.

The Norman, Okla., native received his bachelor's degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism in 2003. Leon was a three-year letter winner with the Tiger football team where he was named to the Academic All-Big 12 and Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2001 and 2002. He received the Most Inspirational Player award in 2002 and served for two years on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Leon received his master's degree in Education with an Emphasis in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration in 2005 from the University of Oklahoma. While attending OU, Leon volunteered with the Sooner Club, the fundraising arm of Oklahoma Athletics, which led to a graduate assistantship.
