Hickman currently is the point person for the transition into the Southeastern Conference. He also oversees all business activities for the Missouri Department of Athletics, including development and oversight of the budget, purchasing and daily office operations while additionally directing the operations of Mizzou Arena and the Hearnes Center. He also oversees the areas of facilities, food service and computing operations. Hickman currently works as the primary administrator with the sports of baseball, softball and soccer. Softball has made three straight appearances in the Women's College World Series.
Hickman became the Assistant Director of the Hearnes Center in 1990 and spent two years in that role before being named Director of the Hearnes Center. These improvements were a result of the successful Champions for Life Capital Campaign implemented from 2000-2008. In his role as Chief Financial Officer for the department of Athletics, Hickman has consistently managed a balanced budget that will be nearly $60,000,000 for Fiscal year 2012.
