The University of Missouri and the Director of Strength & Conditioning, Pat Ivey, named Antwan Floyd Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning in May 2004. As a former Graduate Assistant, he has been a member of the Missouri family since 2002.

Floyd is responsible for Graduate Assistant Development as well as facility and equipment maintenance. Other responsibilities include assisting with the player development program for the Missouri Football team, helping former Tigers prepare for the N.F.L. upon completion of their eligibility. and being directly responsible for the Missouri Track team's sprinters hurdlers, jumpers, and multis. His duties are designing and implementing athletic performance programs, supervising team and individual training sessions, as well as testing strength/power and conditioning of athletes. He works closely with team coaches and athletes to meet specific athletic goals.

As a Graduate Assistant at Missouri, Floyd served as the coach for the wrestling, cross country, swimming and diving, as well as the men's and women's golf teams. During this two-year period he fulfilled his graduate school requirements and received his Masters degree from the College of Education and Counseling Psychology in May 2004.

Before he came to Missouri Floyd worked as an intern for Scott Bennett, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Wyoming. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at Wyoming while playing football for the Cowboys. Floyd also holds a certification from the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.

Floyd was born in Longview, Texas and grew up in Dallas, Texas with his father, Miles, his mother, Antionette, and his younger sister Jazmine James.
