Gymnastics

Hall of Fame Class:
1996

The most honored gymnast in school history, Dorn was the Big Eight Conference Female Athlete-of-the-Year in 1991. The male honoree that year was Doug Smith, making Missouri the first school to claim both prizes in the same year. She was a three-time all-conference performer, and won league championships in the vault and floor exercise in 1991. A crowd favorite, she won three events in the inaugural Shakespeare's Festival in 1991, won individual titles at the Cat Classic in 1988 and '89, and propelled Missouri to its first Cat Classic championship in 1990. She still holds 16 school records, and was Mizzou's first two-time all-American, placing at the NCAA Championships in the vault and floor exercise in 1990. She also competed at the NCAAs in 1989. A native of Minnetonka, Minn., Dorn is the assistant director of championships for the Big 12 Conference.
