Hoskins and Noll Earn Student-Athlete Honors

Columbia, Mo. - Lathrop & Gage announced today that redshirt sophomore football player Andrew Hoskins and junior volleyball member Lindsey Noll have been named this week's student-athletes of the week. Both Hoskins and Noll hold above a 3.0 grade-point average in their respective majors, perform well in the playing arena and contribute significantly to their surrounding community.

Hoskins is a wide receiver on the field and a mathematics education major in the classroom. Playing in the 2003 season, Hoskins was a member of the scout team offense and caught two passes in the spring Black and Gold Game for eight yards, improving in the 2004 Black and Gold series with two catches for 17 yards. Hoskins stands third on the MU depth chart at the Z-receiver position. In his free time, Hoskins is a member of the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Football Funtime Clinics.

A native of St. Louis, Noll is an education major and plays at middle blocker for Missouri. Competing in the 2003 season, Noll had 25 starts and reached a career-high 20 kills against Texas A&M on Nov. 1, 2003. Now in her third year with the Tiger team, Noll has totaled 541 kills and 109 digs. Away from the court, Noll is one of several volleyball players that dedicates her time to Tiger Express to Academic Success.

The volleyball team will host Southeast Missouri State Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m., and Big 12 opponent Kansas State on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. Tickets for the upcoming volleyball games are still available through the ticket office or by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS.
