COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou's Statewide Outreach program continued on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, as the trio of Mike Alden, Associate Director of Ticket Operations Brent Lewis, and Assistant Director of Development Nico Yantko made several stops to visit Tiger fans in Southeast Missouri.

The day began as the group left Mizzou Arena for Columbia Regional Airport for a quick flight East to Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The Mizzou team's first visit was to the Dexter MU Extension for Family Nutrition Education where they were able to visit with several dedicated Mizzou fans and employees. The MU Extension staff was excited for the visit from Mike and staff to come down to Dexter to show their appreciation for the longtime employees.

Next up was a stop in Sikeston, Mo., where the group met 40 proud Mizzou supporters and TSF members at the Fox Haven Country Club. The Sikeston supporters listened carefully as Alden addressed Tiger Nation on future plans for the institution, SEC transition and the importance of growing Mizzou supporters in Southeast Missouri. Later, the group met with Keith and Kathy Holloway and 15 other anxious Cape Girardeau Tiger fans who listened attentively as Alden spoke with the group about the exciting year to come for Tiger Athletics.

Shortly after, Mike Alden was able to reconnect with longtime co-worker, former Mizzou student-athlete and current Director of Athletics at Southeast Missouri State,Mark Alnutt. Mark took the Mizzou team around to each of the SEMO Athletics facilities, as well as visiting with staff members.

The final stop for Alden and Co., was with several former Mizzou Letter Winners, JP Hall, Jay Menstadt, Kyle Thompson, Mark Alnutt, and Paul Stehr at Buffalo Wild Wings in Cape Girardeau. The small reunion of the student-athletes and Alden was enjoyed by all, as the group discussed this year's teams, academics and future plans for Mizzou Athletics.

After a quick flight back from Cape Girardeau, the team ended the day at the Hearnes Center to watch the thrilling Mizzou vs. Tennessee Volleyball match, where the Tiger came back from 2 matches to upset the defending SEC Champion and top-25 ranked Volunteers.

Next month, Alden and his Outreach team will visit Northwest Missouri.
