Gold Rush Set for Saturday vs. Michigan State

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has designated Saturday as "Gold Rush" Day, in conjunction with the Mizzou-Michigan State football game, set for 6:00 p.m. at Faurot Field.

Tiger fans of all ages are encouraged to wear gold to the game in order to show their support for the Tigers (1-1), as they take on the 20th-ranked Spartans (1-0).

Commemorative gold t-shirts are available for purchase at the Tiger Team Store, located in the North Concourse of Memorial Stadium. Shirts are priced at $12.50 apiece.

Tiger Twilight Festival Set for Thursday

In other Tiger news, MU Athletics, along with the City of Columbia, invites Tiger fans of all ages to take part in the Tiger Twilight Festival, set for Thursday evening in downtown Columbia.

Beginning at 7:45 p.m., Marching Mizzou will parade from the Columns at Francis Quadrangle down 8th street to the City Columns located near the courthouse. The MU Golden Girls, as well as the MU Cheer Squads and Truman the Tiger, will also take part in the festivities. Marching Mizzou will then play a concert at the courthouse fountains beginning at 8:00 p.m.

Black & Gold Fridays

Lastly, Tiger Athletics, in association with the MU Alumni Association, would like to encourage Tiger fans from all over the country to begin a new tradition of Black & Gold Fridays.

MU alumni, fans and friends are asked to wear black and gold every Friday to show their support for Mizzou.
