Mizzou Sports Properties, the University of Missouri Athletics' exclusive multimedia and marketing partner, announced today that Kansas City's KMBZ 98.1 FM and KMBZ 980 AM will be the radio broadcast partners for Mizzou football and Mizzou men's basketball this fall.
Both affiliates will carry Mizzou Football, Men's Basketball, Tiger Talk coaches' shows and the Tiger Update, a Mizzou Daily Report, as part of the new agreement with the Tiger Network. Mizzou Sports Properties, a Columbia, Mo., based entity of collegiate multimedia rights leader Learfield Sports, manages all aspects of the broadcasts, as well as the Tiger Network.
"We're happy that we can continue our partnership with the University of Missouri and are excited to not only have 980 AM KMBZ as a Tiger Network affiliate, but for the first time, Mizzou will be heard on the FM dial in Kansas City at 98.1 KMBZ," said Dave Alpert, Vice President / Market Manger - Entercom of Kansas City. "The University of Missouri is a premium program in college athletics and we have a large Mizzou fan base in Kansas City. It makes good business sense for us to be a broadcast partner with the Tigers."

As Alden mentioned, radio reception for Tiger fans in Kansas City should be greatly enhanced with addition of 98.1 FM in the Kansas City area.
In addition to Missouri, Learfield Sports manages multimedia rights for more than 50 collegiate institutions and associations including fellow Big-12 Conference member institutions K-State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
