COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou's Statewide Outreach team continued on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, as the trio of Mike Alden, Derek Doolittle and Nico Yantko made several stops to visit Tiger fans and TSF supporters in Central Missouri.
The day began as the group left Mizzou Arena for Jefferson City, where they met with Big Wheels Courtesy Car Program supporter, Kevin Riley. The team had the opportunity to take a tour of the new facilities at the Riley Toyota and Chevy dealership
The Mizzou team's second visit was in Rolla, Missouri to where they met several TSF supporters and Big Wheel Program member, Larry Hobbs at Fairgrounds Chevrolet. Shortly after, Mike Alden was able to reconnect with former Mizzou student-athlete Henry Wiebe and Big Wheels Program supporter, Lon West at Al West Nissan.
The team continued to head down South to Salem, Missouri, where Carol and Doug Walters organized a Salem County gathering with several other supporters and the team of the Dent County MU Extension. The large group was excited for the visit from Mike and staff to come down to Salem to show their appreciation for the longtime supporters.
Next up was a stop in Steelville, where the group met with a few more MU Extension employees.
Later, the group met with longtime Mizzou supporter, Mark Weidinger and his staff at Weidinger Chevrolet in Vienna, Mo.
The final stop for Alden and Co. was with Keith Beck at Beck Motors in Freeburg, as the group discussed this year's teams, academics, and future plans for Mizzou Athletics.
Next month, Alden and his Outreach team will visit Northeast Missouri on the 24th, where they will end their day in Mendon, Missouri for the Mendon Caravan. For registration to the Mendon Caravan, or more information on the 2013 Caravans please visit www.tsf-mizzou.com.
