Quotable

"It's a great place to hang out before practice and before games. With the plasma TV's and computers, guys can just relax, hangout and get their work done here at the arena. You don't have to spend your time walking back and forth between your dorm or apartment and the arena. Guys will just come to Mizzou Arena and make the most of their time here."

--Leo Lyons, Tiger Senior

Locker Room / Theater / Players Lounge

This state-of-art locker room is Mizzou Basketball's home away from home. The Tiger locker room is one of the nation's finest and provides student-athletes with up-to-date amenities such as a training station, nutrition center, player's lounge, computer workstations, theater seating, a pair of big screen plasma televisions, Playstation and X-Box gaming systems and wood-grained lockers.

The development of college basketball players doesn't merely take place on the court or in the weight room. At Missouri, the basketball staff, using the same equipment as NBA teams, prepares personalized videos for each player showing their playing minutes.

Working with coaches, players can pinpoint flaws in their game that need extra attention. When they are in a slump, these videos reinforce proper techniques. Coaches can record audio over the video to give players specific tips. The extensive use of video provides players with a different perspective and a greater understanding of the game, which helps them to grow and become better.
