HEAD COACH GARY PINKEL

In eight years at Missouri, Gary Pinkel has clearly put his mark on the Tigers football program. With back-to-back Big 12 North Championships and four bowls in five years (including two straight bowl winners), Gary Pinkel's vision for success at the University of Missouri has come to fruition, and is pointed toward a bright future. Pinkel ranks third on Mizzou's all-time coaching wins list with a 59-41 record. He is in a select group of MU coaches that includes College Football Hall of Famers Don Faurot and Dan Devine, as well as Warren Powers, as the only coaches to have an MU record above .500 dating back to 1935. With a school-record 12 wins in 2007 and 10 more in 2008, MU's two-year win total of 22 is third-most in the nation during that time. The back-to-back 10-win seasons marked the first such occurrence in Mizzou history, and Pinkel has now directed two of the three double-digit win seasons in school annals.

Option #1: 2009 Tiger Team Camp - Coaches

Coaches, this option is designed specifically with your football teams in mind. Bring your coaching staff and team to receive an excellent jump-start on preparation for the 2009 season. The Tiger Team Camp will build team chemistry and unity that is vital for success on the playing field. Daily sessions are designed so you can control what your team needs to work on. You will have the opportunity to compete against other schools throughout the course of the camp in various drill sessions including 7-on-7, both 1-on-1 pass rush and coverage drills, inside run periods and 11-on-11 team scrimmages. Along with the team sessions, each day the Missouri coaching staff will break up the camp into individual position groups for detailed instruction on the techniques necessary to excel at each position. The camp will conclude with each team playing three live scrimmages on the final day of the camp, with awards to follow honoring the top teams.

Option #2: 2009 Tiger Football Team Camp - Individuals

Those individuals wishing to attend one of the Tiger Team Camp sessions are encouraged to do so, and will be placed on one of the "Renegade Tiger" teams. The Renegades will consist of all individuals not associated with a high school team. Campers will have the opportunity to learn a new offense and defense, and will compete against the other high school teams during the drill sessions. Skill work will be a major emphasis, and because players will be in full-pads, more football specific drills can be implemented. Attending the Tiger Team Camp will undoubtedly improve you as a player, and will give you the edge necessary to dominate your opponents in the fall!

Friday Night Lights

On Friday night campers will take part in one of the most exciting camp experiences in the country. Teams will line up and compete on Faurot Field amidst the crowd noise and under the lights to simulate a Big 12 Gameday experience. Highlights will be shown on Faurot Field's Video board as campers feel what Tiger Football is all about.
